Annual late night shopping event in Parbold Village, Lancashire WN8
Thursday 1st December 2011 10 shops are opening late and for one night only offering discounts, free tasters, vouchers and special offers Enjoy complimentary drinks & treats while you shop as well as live music, hot food and free to enter raffle. Charity donations on the night will go to When You Wish Upon A Star.

Burscough Wharf has a month-long programme of festive activities and events leading up to Christmas Eve. Friday December 2nd, at 6pm the Mayor and Mayoress will officially turn on the Wharf’s Christmas lights. The couple will arrive on ‘The Blue Swan’ - one of the Chandlery’s narrow boats. Following the lights switch-on there will be live entertainment including carol singing from local primary schools, students from Ormskirk School will be performing in the Arts Centre.
Festive stalls will be open in the courtyard, with stores welcoming visitors for late night shopping until 9pm, including an appearance from Father Christmas. Late night opening will continue each Friday throughout December.

Ormskirk’s Christmas lights will be switched on Friday 25th November. The Mayor of West Lancashire will turn on the lights on stage in front of the clock tower at 6.30pm and there will be all sorts of entertainment including 80s group Black Lace, kids’ rides and Father Christmas in his grotto.

Maghull Art Group (MAG) will be holding its Winter exhibition Saturday and Sunday, 19 & 20 November, from 10.30am-5pm at Deyes High School. Maghull.Prizes will be awarded for varouis categories of art work and for the best in the show Guest judge, Frank Green. The exhibition will include original paintings, hand made cards, jewellery, knitwear, refreshments and a raffle.
